I'm offering a package of two sessions of 90 minutes each. The first session coaches the student and parents through talking together about writing goals and concerns. We'll figure out where writing fits into the student's individual academic experience and the family's efforts to work as a team. In the second session, we'll look together at pieces of the student's writing, pinpoint foundational skills that need to be strengthened, and examine the repertoire of writing processes the student already has. By the end of that session, you'll have a tailored plan for improvement that you can pursue independently or with my ongoing support. As a private writing coach for twenty years, I've been helping young people from middle school through college to master their writing challenges and thrive through their college searches. With seven years of university teaching experience and a Ph.D. in English, I know what the writing challenges on the other side of the college application process really are.
